St Mary’s Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) Paddington has been rated as ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission. The service is managed by Vocare, a Totally plc company.
Vocare provides out-of-hospital services to patients across England through delivering NHS Integrated Urgent Care services, including Urgent Treatment Centres, NHS 111 services and GP out-of-hours services. The centre’s recent ‘Good‘ rating reflects significant improvement during the past two years, as the overall rating has moved up from ‘Special Measures’, to ‘Requires Improvement’ and then most recently, ‘Good’.
The CQC inspects services across five domains which led to the overall ‘Good’ rating:
Dr Jim Heptinstall, Medical Director at Vocare, a Totally plc company, says,
"This is excellent news for our service users and for the wonderful team at St Mary’s UTC, who work tirelessly for the benefit of NHS patients."
"The turnaround of this service, being recognised as ‘Good’ by the CQC following being placed in ‘Special Measures’ two years ago, has been exceptional and demonstrates Vocare’s commitment to providing the highest standards of treatment and care to our patients".
Wendy Lawrence, CEO of Totally plc says,
"This is a fantastic improvement for St Mary’s UTC and demonstrates Vocare’s nationally consistent high standards of care."
"Totally strives to ensure that all the services we provide are high-quality and that we deliver excellent care to our patients."
