Through Northern Doctors Urgent Care (NDUC), Vocare delivers urgent care and out-of-hours GP services to 1.5 million patients in Northumberland, North and South Tyneside and Newcastle.
We also manage the North East NHS 111 service, in partnership with the North East Ambulance Service – delivering the service across the entire region to over 2.5 million people.
Marie is Head of Region for the North East, having previously been Operations Manager for the GP out-of-hours service for North and South of Tyne and Teesside, as well as urgent care centres in Sunderland and walk-in centres at Jarrow and Eston. She previously worked for six years as a Team Manager for NHS Direct before joining NDUC as a Training Officer.
Marc is the LCD for Northumberland and Tyneside GP OOH Services and is dedicated to improving these services and supporting GPs. He is involved with recruitment and governance and works with local commissioners to ensure the service conforms to commissioning intentions. Marc has worked as an OOH GP with NDUC for many years and is currently a GP in Gateshead. He is also involved with the Newcastle-Gateshead CCG, where he is the clinical lead for gastro-enterology.
Samantha is clinical manager for the North East 111 service. She is a qualified nurse, having previously worked as an advisor for the 111 service and with the GP out-of-hours telephone triage service.
Marianne is Clinical Services Manager for Eston and the Sunderland Urgent Care Centres, whilst also being involved in the mobilisation of new urgent care centres around the country. She is a registered nurse and an accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner. She has experience in long term condition management and admission avoidance as well as other specialties including sexual health. Marianne also has experience of teaching nurses and medical students.
